I finally got around to updating the look of my site. I've had this design sitting around for about 2 months, I just had to convert it to a Drupal theme. I still have some touching up to do and I'll probably add more features, but for now this will do!

Google Summer of Code has been a great experience so far! I have learned a lot and I have loved programming for Drupal! I thought I'd post a bit about my project.

My project, Embed Widgets, will allow sites using Drupal to take pieces of their site and convert them to widgets. This will essentially let them distribute miniature, but still interactive, versions of their site across the web in many formats. As part of SoC, I will be creating modules that will allow widgets to be embedded as IFrames and as Google Gadgets.

Here it is! My very first blog entry! My name is John Snow. I live in Logan, UT and I am a student at Utah State University majoring in computer engineering. I created deviable.com as a place to display my work and also to be a resource to others.

I am currently participating in Google Summer of Code. I am creating a module called Embed Widgets for Drupal, a content management system. GSoC is nearly half-way over, so I figured I should get this blog going so that I can post updates on my progress here.
